GRVELOCITY 24 Route Closed
Route Update & Closure
Please note, the Gravelocity 24 is no longer a loop route accessible to the public.
Beginning at mile marker 15, the former route transitions onto a private road and is off-limits to bicycles. You are not able to reach the Blue Ridge Parkway on Salt Pond Road.
When the route was created in 2023, Salt Pond Road was managed by the National Forest Service. This is no longer the situation in 2024. It is now a private road.
We ask you to respect the decision and interests of local property owners. Do not attempt to ride the Gravelocity 24.
The Gravelocity 20 is still the original route option that utilizes the Blue Ridge Parkway instead of the rough technical gravel segment that was part of the 24 mile version. This was added to give the more adventurous cyclists an option to consider.
